Student Outreach and Support

Student Support

The Student Outreach and Support office focuses on connecting students in need of assistance to the extensive on- and off-campus network of resources and support services.

Located within the Dean of Students Office, SOS staff members are trained to match you with the targeted services and programs to meet your needs.

On- and off-campus resources

Academic assistance

Utilize your professor's office hours

If you are struggling in classes, one of the best resources is your professor. Visit during their office hours and ask questions! This also allows you the opportunity to receive feedback on exams, homework, quizzes and more.

Financial aid

Student Emergency Aid Fund

The Student Emergency Aid Fund exists to help students who need help with one-time school or life expenses up to $1,000. This financial assistance can be used for:

  • tuition
  • rent
  • vehicle loan payments and repairs
  • textbooks
  • or almost any other expense.

All enrolled students are eligible to apply for emergency aid. Supporting documentation must be provided with your application.
