Healthcare Interior Design Emphasis

The Master of Science in Human Sciences with an emphasis in healthcare interior design offers students the opportunity to earn a master's degree that can enhance income and marketability. Students learn design guidelines for multiple healthcare environments and dialogue with nationally recognized healthcare design experts. Students also have the opportunity to engage in research to support evidence-based design.

The healthcare interior design program prepares students for the Center for Health Design's Evidence-based Design Accreditation and Certification (EDAC) exam and the American Association of Healthcare Interior Designers (AAHID) certification exam. Currently, our students have a 100% pass rate on both exams.

Healthcare interior design students may choose either the 30-hour thesis option or the 36-hour nonthesis option. The curriculum is designed around the body of knowledge outlined by the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers.
