Insurance

SFA is a partner with the Employees Retirement System of Texas. ERS administers SFA's insurance program, which includes:

• Health care 
  BlueCross BlueShield of Texas is the third-party administrator for both plans of HealthSelect of Texas and Consumer Directed HealthSelect.
  • Full-time employees (regularly working 30 hours per week or more): State pays 100% of employee's premium cost and 50% of their dependents' premium cost
  • Part-time employees (regularly working between 20 and 30 hours per week): State pays 50% of employee's premium cost and 25% of dependents' premium cost.
• Vision
  Superior Vision is the third-party administrator for the State of Texas Vision plan.
• Dental Care
  Delta Dental is the third-party administrator for both State of Texas Dental Choice Plan (PPO) and DeltaCare USA plan (DHMO).
• Optional Life Insurance
  Minnesota Life, an affiliate of Securian FinancialGroup, Inc., is the third-party administrator for this plan.
• Dependent Life Insurance
  Minnesota Life, an affiliate of Securian FinancialGroup, Inc., is the third-party administrator for this plan.
• Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance
  Minnesota Life, an affiliate of Securian FinancialGroup, Inc., is the third-party administrator for this plan.
• Short-term and Long-term Disability Income Insurance
  ReedGroup is the third-party administrator for both plans.
• TexFlex Program - Health Care, Dependent Care and Limited Purpose (Consumer Directed HealthSelect participants only) accounts
  PayFlex is the third-party administrator for these three flexible spending accounts.
