Determining IACUC Application Form
Please answer the following questions to determine if your research qualifies for the Short IACUC application:
- Will the research involve surgical procedures?
- Will animals receive anesthetics, analgesics, and/or tranquilizers to minimize or alleviate pain or distress?
- Will living animals be exposed to any drugs, infectious agents, radioactive materials, anesthetic agents, or recombinant DNA?
- Is the project funded by a federal grant?
If you answer "NO" to all the above questions, then you may use the IACUC Short Form. Please note that the SFA IACUC could determine your research does not qualify for use of the Short Form. If that is the case, you will receive an email indicating so.
