Smith-Hutson Scholarship

Admissions & Aid

The Smith-Hutson Scholarship is intended for entering first-year and transfer students with established financial need and academic potential who are seeking an undergraduate degree from SFA.

Taking into account other scholarships that the student may receive and the student's and parents' financial resources, the Smith-Hutson Scholarship typically provides sufficient assistance to cover tuition, books, fees and reasonable living expenses on campus. First-year scholarship recipients have the option to live together in the same on-campus housing unit, Lumberjack Landing, unless commuting or living with family.

We strongly encourage all qualified students to apply for the Smith-Hutson Scholarship by submitting the required supplemental informationwith the General Scholarship application available through a student's mySFA account.
