Cole Art Center open during spring break, hosting receptions

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin State University School of Art and its art galleries will host a closing reception for two exhibitions currently showing at The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House in downtown Nacogdoches.

A reception to close "Stuart Riordan: Sardines & Oranges" and "Beyond the Academy: Contemporary Outsider and Expressionist Art" will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at the art center. Some of the artists are expected to attend.

Both exhibitions, sponsored in part by the SFA Friends of the Visual Arts and Nacogdoches Junior Forum, are features of the SFA College of Fine Arts' University Series. Admission is free, and the exhibitions will show through March 28.

Cole Art Center will observe regular hours during spring break. The center will be open from 12:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, March 17 through 20, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 21. Cole Art Center will be closed Saturday, March 14.
