Meal swipes vs. dining dollars
Meal swipes
Meal swipes are a specific number of meals that can be used at the Eatery on East or Food Hall 1923. One meal swipe equals one entry into either dining hall for an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal!
Dining Dollars
Dining Dollars provide the flexibility to eat at campus retail dining and market locations, including Chick-fil-A, Einstein Bros. Bagels and Starbucks. Dining Dollars work just like a debit card, deducting charges from the balance. Note: Unused dining dollars will roll over from the fall to the spring term and expire at the end of the spring term.
Meal plan options
Students living on campus
All students living in a residence hall (excluding Lumberjack Village Building 3) are required to have a meal plan from the "on-campus plan" options. If you do not choose a specific "on-campus plan", you'll receive the 7-day 14 Premium plan by default.

Commuter students, faculty and staff members
Both "on-campus" and "off-campus" meal plans are available for residents of Lumberjack Village Building 3, commuter students, and faculty and staff members to purchase. Signing up is voluntary, but the savings and convenience are real!
"On-campus" meal plan options include more meal swipes and dining dollars, perfect for those who spend a lot of time on our beautiful campus.
"Off-campus" meal plan options are designed to take meal prep off your list when you don't have the time! For SFA employees, the faculty and staff meal plan options are ideal for those who want something quick and convenient on days they don't bring something from home.

Ready to sign up?
You can sign up for a meal plan, or change your current meal plan, in a few easy steps:
- Log in to mySFA.
- Go to the "Campus Life" tab.
- Click "Meal Plans – Sign Up or Change" under "Other Information."
After you make your selection, the cost of your meal plan will be added to your SFA eBill.
