SFA School of Music to present "Amahl and the Night Visitors"

The 45-minute opera, written in English, tells the touching story of a crippled shepherd boy and his mother who are visited by the Three Kings during their journey to find the Christ Child. It will be presented in Cole Concert Hall at 9 and 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, and at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3. Tickets for Friday's performances are $6 for individuals and $5 each for groups of 20 or more. For Saturday's performance, tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for seniors, students and youth. Wesley Gipson, who is the son of Vatrina Voeks of Nacogdoches and Robert Gipson of Woden, will rotate the title role with Conner Parr, son of Dawn Parr and Chad Branton.
