Raychev recital to feature works of composer Marcello

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Dr. Evgeni Raychev, cellist and Stephen F. Austin State University music faculty member, will present "MarCello" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 20, in Cole Concert Hall on the SFA campus as part of the Cole Performing Arts Series.

The faculty recital will also feature Dr. Gene Moon, director of orchestras at SFA, and Martha De Luna, graduate student in the SFA School of Music.

"This recital is celebratory," Raychev said. "I love the month of March, and I love my cello. I am happy that I will be sharing the experience with my colleagues and friends Gene Moon and Martha De Luna."

The program will include compositions by Fritz Kreisler, Niccoló Paganini, Bohuslav Martinu, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Johann Brahms and Benedetto Marcello.
