Group Axe class descriptions

Explore a detailed description of each class to find the ones that fit your interest.

Abs and Glutes: It’s the total core and glutes workout! This class focuses on functional abdominal work and lower body exercises.

Athletic Conditioning: Whether you are an athlete, were an athlete or train like one, this class will prove to be the coach you’ve been looking for. Similar to boot camp, this class offers a tough, athletic workout to get you in shape for any activity.

Body Burnout: Getting into shape just got serious. This class features cardio portions mixed with a variety of strength training exercises for total body conditioning. If you are looking for a bit more from your workouts, this is for you! All fitness levels are welcome.

Booty Sculpt: This 30-minute class integrates a variety of exercises that specifically target the glutes, giving your booty a serious lift. All fitness levels are welcome.

Cycle: Pedal through hill climbs, sprints, and many other challenging drills and exercises. Cycling targets the lower body, providing a workout you might not expect. No experience is necessary, and all levels are welcome. Remember to bring a towel and water bottle.

Cycling Blitz: High-energy, indoor cycling will challenge your ideas about cardio, offering an enjoyable, music-based class that is fun for all levels. Through a mix of interval training, climbs, endurance rides and sprints, you’ll be sure to work up a sweat as you pedal along to the beat. Training on a bike makes this workout low-impact on the joints but plenty challenging. Make this class as intense as you wish—it’s your ride!

Dance Cardio: Move your body in this high-energy party atmosphere. Dance cardio combines H.I.I.T. workouts and dance routines geared to crank up your heart rate with easy-to-follow choreography.

Dance Fitness: A fusion of Latin and international music featuring high-energy dance training that tones and sculpts the body, this feel-good workout leaves you energized and ready for more.

H.I.I.T. Blast: This energetic class focuses on toning and sculpting your body into shape. The mixture of high-intensity interval techniques gets your heart pumping and muscles burning for more. All fitness levels are welcome.

Hip Hop Cardio: Add some rhythm to your day by attending a hip hop dance-inspired workout. This class makes you sweat to the beat and teaches you some new moves that are sure to get your heart pumping while the music is jumping.

MixxedFit: MixxedFit has been referred to as a “people-inspired fitness program” that weaves together various forms of movement and boot camp training techniques. This innovative dance-fitness class incorporates different elements, all of which are designed to tone, strengthen and increase endurance.

Morning Boot Camp: Jump-start your morning with an outdoor workout in our new outdoor fitness area. Morning Boot Camp incorporates a variety of high-intensity training styles and prepares you to tackle the rest of your day. The class is equally as challenging for the fitness enthusiast and the fitness first-timer.

Power Yoga: This class is a vigorous, fitness-based approach to vinyasa-style yoga. Come prepared to sweat and relax.

Restorative Yoga: This is not your typical yoga class. Restorative yoga will help combat the physical and mental effects of everyday stress with relaxing and slow-paced poses. Need to give your body a break, or feeling under the weather? This class is for you.

Rhythm Cycle: A rhythm-based cycling class focused largely on the beat of the music. This usually includes high-energy songs with build-ups and clear beat drops. No experience is necessary, and all levels are welcome. Remember to bring a towel and water bottle.

Thrive and Evolve: Mindset. Fitness. Nutrition. Join Group Axe Instructors for a 20 minute total body sweat and a 20 minute yoga session, followed by a motivational discussion aimed at encouraging the Lumberjack community.

Total Body Conditioning: Using a combination of equipment and exercises to tone your arms, legs and core, this class gives you a workout using high volume, low weights and intense cardio intervals suited for sculpting.

Vinyasa Yoga: Start out your morning with a flowing, dynamic sequence of poses in one of the most popular styles of yoga, characterized by synchronizing breathing with a variety of postures.

Vinyasa Flow: Join this vinyasa-style class to improve your flexibility and balance, integrating breath into every movement. Expect a flow of sun salutations that will increase heart rate, develop strength and improve balance.

Yoga: Yoga provides a great total body workout that leaves you relaxed and stress-free while increasing your strength, stamina and flexibility.

Zumba: A fusion of Latin and international music featuring high-energy dance training that tones and sculpts the body, this feel-good workout leaves you energized and ready for more.
