Parents’ Night Out!

Swimming, games, movies and pizza are just a few of the fun things kids get to experience at Parents’ Night Out. Enjoy a night out, or in, while we entertain your children!

Age Restrictions: Children ages 5 to 12
Cost: $20 per child
Drop-off: 6 p.m.
Pick-up: Midnight, however parents may pickup their child(ren) at any time throughout the night.

To register, visit the Campus Recreation administration office during normal business hours. Registration for Parents’ Night Out is nonrefundable.

Little Jack Rec Camp

Every summer, the Campus Rec is proud to offer a recreational day camp for the youth of the SFA and Nacogdoches communities.

The Little Jack Rec Camp program is a fun, recreational, motivational and educational adventure for children ages 5 to 12. Camp sessions are one week in length and structured like a normal day of regular school with campers moving through our facilities, participating in different programs throughout the day.

Sessions emphasize some core values of our department: teamwork, communication, sportsmanship and fun. All activities have a noncompetitive nature, and staff work with campers to improve basic skills used in most sports. The camp is non-sport specific, and activities are geared toward beginner and intermediate skill levels.

2020 Summer Camp Sessions

Registration for summer 2020 camp sessions will open April 1.

  • Week One: June 1 through 5
  • Week Two: June 8 through 12
  • Week Three: June 15 through 19
  • Week Four: June 22 through 26
  • Week Five: June 29 through July 3
  • Week Six: July 13 through 17
  • Week Seven: July 20 through 24
  • Week Eight: July 27 through 31
  • Week Nine: Aug. 3 through 7

Cost of Enrollment

Payments must be made on the balance due at any time prior to the first day of camp (minimum payment equal to one session of camp). By the first day of camp, all payments must be completed. Cash, check and debit/credit card payments can be accepted at the Campus Rec administration office.

SFA Community: $170
Non-SFA Community: $195

Early Drop Off

Early drop off starts at 7:30 a.m. and will cost an extra $10 per session. You will be responsible for parking in the north parking lot and walking your children to the Lumberjack Lounge (the lounge area near the welcome desk) in the Student Recreation Center.

Late Care

Late care is available from 4 to 6 p.m. and costs an extra $25 per session. Any pickup after 6 p.m. will cost an additional $15 for every 15 minutes. Parents must pick up children from the Student Recreation Center meeting room.

Children who are not enrolled in late care and not picked up by 4:30 p.m. will be kept at the cost of $10 for every 15 minutes. If you know you are going to be late, call the Campus Rec administrative office at 936.468.3507, and notify the office staff.

Multi-Week Discount

Register and pay the full amount for three or more sessions and receive $25 off per session. If you register multiple children for three or more sessions, you will receive the discount for each child per session.

Session Times

Sessions take place Monday through Friday. You may start dropping off children between 8 and 8:30 a.m. in the Student Recreation Center parking lot, located off of Wilson Drive on the north side of the building near Steen Library and the Bush Mathematical Sciences Building.

Sessions will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will end at 3:45 p.m. You can pick up children between 4 and 4:30 p.m. from the front of Student Recreation Center parking lot. Late care is available for a minimal cost until 6 p.m.

Age Groups

Children will be split into three groups with a maximum of 20 campers per group.

  • Ages 5 to 7
  • Ages 8 to 9
  • Ages 10 to 12


In the event that a refund is needed, an administrative fee of 25% of the cost of registration will be charged to process the refund. Registration costs are non-refundable the week of the applicable session. Lunches are not provided, so send your child with drinks a nutritious lunch that does not need to be heated.

Swim Lessons

Campus Rec also offers group and private swim lessons. Let our staff take your child from camp to swim lessons and then return them to camp when the lesson is over, so you won't have to do any extra driving!
