The campus map details the location of buildings and services available on campus.The campus parking map includes accessible directions, parking and entrances for most buildings on campus.
Students who may require an accommodation in a residence hall or university owned apartment must follow the procedures outlined in the Procedures for Housing Requests Based on Disability Related Needs. A Housing Special Accomodation Request Form can be completed online here.
FIRE AND EMERGENCY EVACUATION
If you are a faculty, staff or student with a physical disability at Stephen F. Austin State University, the university has Fire and Emergency Evacuation Procedures for Persons with Disabilities. It is important to familiarize yourself with, and follow these procedures in the event of a fire or emergency.
Designated disabled persons parking is available in parking lots throughout the campus. Persons must display a state-issued disabled license plate or hang tag to park in these space. For additional information visit Parking Services.
Individuals requiring the use of a service/assistance animal on campus must meet the criteria for accommodations and/or services outlined in the Procedures for Service Animals.
SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETING SERVICES
The Office of Disability Services coordinates interpreting services for the university community. Faculty or staff who need to request an interpreter for a university-related activity should refer to the Procedures for Requesting Sign Language Interpreting Services.
Relay Texas can facilitate communication for those without at TTY.
An accessible unisex restroom is available for those with special needs on the second floor of Human Services Building. Other unisex restrooms are available in Human Sciences – North, Early Childhood Lab, Fine Arts Building – Behind the stage, Safety Office Griffith, Kerr, Hall 20, 14 and 16. Sites not located on main campus include the Science Research Center, and the Columbia Center Downtown.
