About

The toddler II room services eighteen children with ages ranging from two to three year olds. There are two full-time, certified teachers as well as a student assistant who teach and care for the children. A learning centers curriculum is implemented and toddlers are given many opportunities to become autonomous learners as they work and play in this hands-on, multi-sensory classroom.

Teachers

Joanna Jones
Master Teacher

Ms. Joanna earned her B.S. in Education in 1987, and her Masters of Education in Early Childhood in 1994. She has been teaching at the Early Childhood Lab for the past 26 years. Joanna teaches eighteen 2 and 3 year olds in the Toddler II class. She also serves as a lab instructor the department of HMS. She currently teaches the 241 Lab Introduction to Early Childhood Education. Joanna has two sons, Daniel and Christopher. She enjoys spending time with her grandson Kyren and her daughter-in-law Kristen.

Ginny Watkins
Teacher

Ginny graduated in 2009, from SFASU with a Bachelor's of Science in Child and Family Development and a minor in Early Childhood Intervention. In 2010, she began working at the Early Childhood Lab as a Toddler II teacher. In 2011, she moved to the Pre-K I classroom. Ginny received her Master's in Early Childhood Education in 2012. She began teaching in Toddler I in the summer 2015 and in Toddler II spring 2018.
