Registration Information for Honor Students
Honor students have exclusive access to Honors courses through the mySFA registration system using the CRN #.
Honors students register for Fall 2024 classes with 'Special Groups' beginning:
7:00 a.m. on Monday, April 1
It is your responsibility to ensure these classes meet course requirements for your degree at SFA.
- Schedule an appointment for academic advising through your major to select courses for your degree plan.
- Check your mySFA account to ensure all Holds are cleared from your file so you may register for classes on this day.
Honors students must maintain a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA and earn six (6) Honors credit hours each academic year by either taking Honors courses or pursuing Honors Academic Contracts.
- You are welcome to pursue up to, but not more than, six (6) Honors credit hours between Honors courses and Honors Academic Contracts in a Fall or Spring semester.
- You may pursue up to, but not more than, three (3) Honors credit hours in Honors Academic Contracts in Summer semesters. Honors Academic Contracts are not accepted for the Maymester semester.
An Honors Academic Contract may be completed for Honors credit in lieu of a regular Honor's class.
- Honors Academic Contracts are entered online once the semester has begun.
- Log onto mySFA and go to the Academic menu, then look in the Honors Portal for the "Enter Honors Academic Contract" link.
- Honors Contract Orientation sessions are held the second week of the Fall semester to assist students with Contract proposals.
Fall 2024 Honors Academic Contract Submission deadlines:
- First 8-week term: submit online by 5 p.m. on Friday, September 6
- Full semester 16-week course: submit online by 5 p.m. on Friday, September 20
- Second 8-week term: submit by EMAIL submission by 5 p.m. on Friday, November 1
