Property Training
Property training is offered online as two separate modules identified below.
Equipment Managers (Department Heads) and Designees
Equipment Managers must complete training within 30 days of assuming department head duties.
Designees must complete training within 30 days of being named as a deisgnee.
Custodians (Responsible Parties)
Custodian must complete training within 30 days of being named as a custodian of university property.
Refresher Training
Equipment Managers, Designees and Custodians are all required to have Refresher Training every 2 years. The Property Manager will notify equipment managers, designees, and custodians when their refresher training is required along with instructions on how to sign up through myTraining. Employees may also monitor their own training records through myTraining.
Equipment Managers and Designees will participate in small quizzes throughout the online training modules, and must pass a final test with a grade of 90 or higher.
Custodians will participate in small quizzes throughout the online training modules, and must pass a final test with a grade of 85 or higher.
How to Register for Training
To sign up for any of the above training:
- Go to the myTraining website
- Log in with your SFA domain log-in
- Once logged in, you will choose 'Class Listings' on the left hand menu
- Click on the training for which you need to sign up (make sure there are seats available)
- Select your desired date
- You will receive a confirmation email
