The 1903 Starr-Blake home is a two-story, frame, Free Classical/Queen Anne structure. The one-level front porch is the length of the house and is supported by classical columns.

Historical Background

In 1903, James Franklin Starr hired shipwrights form New Orleans to construct the Starr-Blake home as a wedding present for his daughter Ruth, pro to he rmariage to Canadian investor Arthur Blake.
