A decentralized approach to compliance

Various SFA offices and administrators are assigned responsibility of specific compliance areas, and the Office of the General Counsel coordinates and serves in a support role to those compliance policy officers and partners.

The Office of the General Counsel keeps the president and board of regents advised of university compliance concerns.

Mission statement

SFA believes that compliance is not limited to certain offices, but is the responsibility of every member of the university community. It is the compliance program's goal to help coordinate and support the many campuswide compliance activities. The university strives to create and maintain an environment of compliance with law and policies characterized by high standards of ethical behavior. This includes providing the university community with the information it needs to make appropriate decisions.
