Our staff is licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. Our counselors belong to the National Board for Certified Counselors.
Jill Milem - Director of Counseling Services Educational Background: MEd, LPC-S, Certified QPR Trainer Ms. Milem received a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL and a Master of Education in Counseling from SFA. She worked in private psychiatric settings and in a domestic violence shelter prior to joining Counseling Services in 1992.
Charlotte Jackson - Counselor Educational Background: MA, LPC-S, Certified QPR Trainer Ms. Jackson received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Abilene Christian University and Master of Arts degree in Psychology from SFA. She has over 20 years of experience in the field of counseling.
Ron Smith - Counselor Educational Background: MA, LPC, NCC, Certified QPR Trainer Mr. Smith received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS, and spent more than two decades in the petrochemical industry. Mr. Smith earned a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from SFA in 2005. He provided counseling services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse for a private non-profit agency elsewhere in East Texas before joining our staff.
John Mlinar - Counselor Educational Background: MA, LPC, Certified QPR Trainer Mr. Mlinar received both his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Arts in Clinical/Mental Health Counseling from SFA.
Whitney Koltonski - Counselor Educational Background: MA, LPC Mrs. Koltonski received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Baylor University and her Master of Arts in Community Counseling from SFA.
Jeff Schulz - Counselor Educational Background: MA, LPC Intern Mr. Schulz received his Bachelor of Science in sociology-criminology from Texas A&M University-Commerce, and earned a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from SFA. He has worked in juvenile justice, public mental health, substance abuse counseling, community based intervention services, and prison counseling before joining our staff.
