Treating patients today to train the counselors of tomorrow
Open to the public, the Counseling Clinic on the SFA campus provides services to children, adolescents and adults. Tailored to meet the patient’s needs, we address internal and external stressors with a focus on independent, productive living and mental wellness.
The Counseling Clinic, a training facility for our Master of Arts in professional counseling graduate students, provides the opportunity to gain practical experience as a counselor in a supervised clinical setting.
Note: As a training clinic, all counseling sessions are recorded for supervision and educational purposes. Faculty members and graduate students observe in real-time and session recordings for the purpose of learning. All students and faculty members associated with the professional counseling program are bound to the American Counseling Association Code of Ethics and the confidentiality requirements of a counseling professional.
