- On 9/22/2026, an officer stopped a vehicle on East Austin Street for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle showed to have a suspended license. The driver was issued a class b summons for driving while license suspended. There is one suspect.
- On 9/22/2026, an officer met with a complainant at UPD to report being the victim of a scam. The complainant stated that four hundred dollars was removed from her bank account through a unknown third party. A theft report was generated for this incident. There are no suspects.
- Sept. 21–22 — On 9/21/2026, an officer met with a complainant at UPD to report a missing wallet. The complainant stated before they could cancel their credit cards, they received an alert someone was attempting to use their cards at a local business. A report for credit card abuse was filed. There are no suspects.

- On 9/18/2026, an officer contacted a suspicious occupied vehicle in Lot 58. The occupant of the vehicle was found to be in possession of marihuana. That subject was issued a class b summons for possession of marihuana.
- On 9/19/2026, an officer spoke with a complainant over the telephone who stated they have been receiving harassing phone calls and social media posts from an employee at SFA. The complainant stated that his ex-girlfriend was the suspect.
- On 9/19/2026, an officer was dispatched to Lumberjack Lodge to assist resident life with a wellness check. Eight subjects were found inside the residence and one subject was found to be in possession of alcohol and under the age of twenty-one. That subject was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol.
- On 9/19/2026, an officer contacted a suspicious occupied vehicle in Lot 58. The vehicle was occupied by three subjects. Two of the subjects were under the age of twenty-one. The officer observed several open and unopened alcoholic beverages inside the vehicle. The subject that was of age admitted to providing the alcohol to the others. That subject was arrested for furnishing alcohol to minors and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail without incident.

- Sept. 16–17 — On 9/14/2026, an officer contacted three suspicious individuals in the Village Parking Garage. The officer smelled burnt marihuana in the area of the individuals who admitted to smoking. One of the subjects was found to be in possession of marihuana. That subject was issued a class b summons for possession of marihuana. There is one suspect.
- Sept. 14–16 — On 9/14/2026, a UT officer was dispatched to the ECRC in reference to a hit and run. The complainant stated on 9/14/2026 their vehicle was damaged while parked in the ECRC parking lot. There is one suspect.
- Sept. 11–14 — On 9/12/2026, a UT officer stopped a vehicle on Raguet Street for a traffic violation. The officer contacted the driver who was found to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail without incident. There is one suspect.
- Sept. 10–11 — On 9/11/2026, officers smelled a strong odor of burnt marihuana coming from an open window in Hall 14. Officers walked in Hall 14 and located the residence where the marihuana odor was coming from. Officers contacted the occupants of the residence and located five individuals. Two of those individuals were in possession of drug paraphernalia. Those two individuals were issued citations for possession of drug paraphernalia. There are two suspects.
- Sept. 9–10 — On 9/9/2026, a UT officer was dispatched to the STEM building to meet with a complainant in reference to a theft. The complainant stated on 9/8/2026 two unknown individuals removed SFA property from outside of the STEM building and left the scene. There are two suspects.

- Sept. 2–3 — On 9/2/2026, an officer met with a complainant at UPD in reference to a theft. The complainant stated on 9/1/2026, someone took their unattended property from the Pineywoods Cafeteria. There are no suspects.

Public Sex Offender Registry
State law requires persons convicted of or placed on deferred community supervision for certain offenses to register as a sexual offender. Offenders who committed sexually violent offenses (most contact offenses) must register for the remainder of their life, even after completing probation or parole.
