Business Continuity Planning (BCP) at SFA

The SFA Business Continuity Planning Program supports the university's ability to continue essential operations during and after emergencies, disruptions, or disasters. The program is administered by the Office of Emergency Management and operates in support of the university's Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) and Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP).

Business continuity planning helps departments identify essential functions, assess operational impacts, and develop practical strategies to sustain or restore operations following disruptions such as severe weather, cybersecurity incidents, infrastructure failures, facility closures, supply chain disruptions or other emergencies.

The goal of the program is to improve institutional resilience while ensuring the University can continue delivering critical services to students, faculty, staff, researchers and stakeholders.
