Student Clinician Opportunities
Undergraduate students complete observation hours in this clinic. Graduate students provide assessments and treatment to individuals who come to the clinic for services, under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist. Graduate students are provided with a practical hands-on approach to training that includes an emphasis on integration of evidence-based practice. They perform on-site speech, language, and hearing evaluations and work with clients of all ages to assess, diagnose and treat various communication disorders. Externship sites are also available where students have the opportunity to work with a variety of individuals across the lifespan in medical settings such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, and home health agencies, and in state and public schools.
