NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The popular Little House on the Prairie books serve as the inspiration for a new musical by ArtsPower National Touring Theatre, which the Stephen F. Austin State University's Children's Performing Arts Series will present at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, in W.M. Turner Auditorium.

"Laura Ingalls Wilder," geared to first through sixth graders, chronicles the life and times of Wilder and her family's adventures traveling across America, said Diane Flynn, director of the children's series. "The students are sure to love this one-hour musical since it brings to life the stories from Wilder's beloved books."

Seats are still available for both the 9:30 and 12:30 shows. Flynn encourages teachers and parents to call and place their orders now since seating is assigned on the basis of when money is received.

Tickets are $6 for individuals and $5 each for groups of 20 or more. For tickets or more information, please call (936) 468-6407 or (888) 240-ARTS.

The Children's Performing Arts Series is presented by the SFA College of Fine Arts. Other productions scheduled for this school year are "Nate the Great" on Wednesday, Jan. 27; "The Little Mermaid" on Wednesday, April 21; and "Freedom Train" on Tuesday, May 11.
