NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The SFA Wind Ensemble will present "German
Masters," a concert of music by famous German composers, at 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 20, in W.M. Turner Auditorium on the SFA campus.
John W. Goodall, SFA professor of music and associate dean of the

Weber's "Concertino for Oboe and Winds."
The concert will open with "Toccata, Adagio and Fugue," one of the
great organ works by Johann Sebastian Bach, said Fred J. Allen, SFA
director of bands and the group's director. "We will perform the
transcription made by John Paynter, who was guest conductor of the SFA
Wind Ensemble in 1995."
Included on the program are two other works by German composers-Paul
Hindemith's "Symphony in B-flat," which Allen called "monumental," and

Marching Band.
