NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - Works by ten art metal/jewelry students from the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Art and their professor, Lauren McAdams, will be included in the "5th Annual Intercollegiate Metals Exhibition" hosted by Arizona State University Monday, Oct. 11, through Friday, Oct. 22.

"We are more than pleased with the invitation from ASU to be part of this wonderful event and to be exhibited alongside faculty, graduate and undergraduate artists from six leading universities in the art metal/jewelry field," said McAdams.

After receiving the invitations, each university conducted its own selection process to determine which student pieces would be sent to Arizona. Four SFA faculty members selected works by the following students: juniors Jacob Elbert of Hockley, Brooke Kocian of Brenham, Elisabeth Milam of Dallas and Heather Wobbe of Houston; seniors Stefan McKinley of Lufkin, Barak Mossbarger of Brenham, and Carolyn Ponder of Vernon.

Works by SFA alumna Heather Eberle and graduate students Stina Jimerson of Kilgore and Kira Kalondy of Chihuahua, Mexico are also included in the show.

Images of Mossbarger's "Brooch" and Ponder's "Gear Work Series" were selected for the show's poster and postcard, respectively.
