Renowned storyteller Susan Strauss will present "Storytelling: A Way of Knowing - One Storyteller's Journey through Traditional and Personal Story" at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19 in Liberal Arts North, Room 142.

Strauss is an internationally recognized storyteller and author of natural history themes. She has spoken and performed at several international congresses, museums, aquariums, botanical gardens and national parks. She has composed narratives for museum exhibits and written four books and six audio recordings. Strauss currently teaches Storytelling in Environmental Interpretation at Oregon State University.

In her performance, Strauss explores her understanding of the art of storytelling and presents selections from her natural history performances about Native American Coyote Tales, birds, wolves, bears, trees, weather and landscape. It also contains stories from Greek, Asian, Zufi, Nordic, Russian, Native American and personal sources.
