The Stephen F. Austin State University Pineywoods Camp program will kick off its eleventh year of summer camp programs for youth with a Wonder Woods Camp for 4 to 6 year olds in the magical forest of the SFA Pineywoods Native Plant Center, 2900 Raguet St. The camp will be held from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday, June 11 through 15.

"This beautiful location provides a wonderful, diverse environment for campers to explore and investigate as they learn about the animals and plants of East Texas," said Kerry Lemon, assistant education coordinator for SFA Gardens. "Campers will explore 'Wonders of Wildlife' through songs, games, art projects, hiking and hands-on discovery."

The fun-filled week will culminate on Friday with a fishing adventure at the SFA Ag Pond followed by a sack lunch for campers and their family members at the SFA Pineywoods Native Plant Center.

SFA Pineywoods Camp is a program of the SFA Department of Agriculture and the Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture. Registrations are being accepted, and there are a limited number of openings remaining. Cost is $80.
