Texas Educator Certification Exam (TExES)

SFA delivers computerized Texas Educator Certification Exam (TExES). Please go to www.tx.nesinc.com to get registered or if you have questions about a test, its content, canceling scores, changing reporting institutions or changing personal information such as name, address and so on.

Candidate lockers will be assigned because personal items, including but not limited to, mobile phones, hand-held computers, personal digital assistants (PDAs) or other electronic devices, pagers, watches, large jewelry, wallets, purses, firearms or other weapons, hats (and other non-religious head coverings), bags, hooded wear, books, notes, pens, pencils, and food or drink are not allowed in the testing room (or may require inspection prior to being allowed in the testing room). If you wear eyeglasses you will be asked to remove them for visual inspection. You must store all personal items in your assigned locker or keep them in your vehicle. All electronic devices must be turned off before storing them; you will be asked to empty your pockets and ensure nothing is in them or on your person. The test center is not responsible for lost, stolen or misplaced personal items. Items for scratch paper will be provided; therefore, pen, pencil or paper is not necessary.

What to bring to the Test Center

  • Government issued valid, primary and secondary form of ID.
  • Acceptable and valid identification(s) must contain your name, signature and photograph. The name on your ID must match exactly how you registered for your exam.
  • Please refer to and read ID requirements and what to bring when registering for your exam!

Accommodations

Candidates must submit requests for accommodations to Pearson/Evaluation Systems, and all requests must be approved before the exam appointment. Pearson VUE cannot approve accommodations.
