What is the best part about being at SFA?
Something I did not realize when applying to colleges was the size. I never considered how a small class would affect my experience in and outside the class. So, the best part about SFA is the size. My professors knew my name, and I was able to become acquainted with everyone in my classes. This would not have been possible had I gone to a larger school, where lectures are 100+ students, sitting in a new place every class, and professors never realizing they even had you as a student.

What keeps you motivated to remain successful in your academics?
I was a bit of a bum in high school, my GPA was higher than most other slackers but it did not reflect my abilities as a student. I am motivated to put in what I know I am capable of, and having a fresh start on my GPA encourages me to keep it as high as possible. When you start strong, its easier maintain your place and to end strong, even with a few slips in-between.

What advice would you give an incoming Freshman attending SFA?
Go to class, read the textbook, and use your time wisely.
