Partnership with Nacogdoches High School and Lufkin High School

Engage in real-world, problem-based research and field experiences in a supportive community of teachers and faculty. Students who participate in STEM Academy will learn more about STEM and STEM-related career options and participate in a variety of activities, including:

  • Half-day visits to SFA laboratories or field sites, led by SFA faculty
  • Mentoring opportunities
  • Investigation of STEM careers and career paths

What’s more, all high school students who participate in SFA’s STEM Academy have the opportunity to earn college credit hours in math and science.

Registration Information:

The SFA STEM Academy is a partnership with the Nacogdoches and Lufkin Independent School Districts, so students who wish to apply must do so through one of these districts.
