A thorn in the side of area boating enthusiasts may provide a ray of hope for some cancer patients, according to recent research findings at SFA's National Center for Pharmaceutical Crops.

Area residents are invited to join Nacogdoches Naturally Saturday, March 3, for a day trip to Ragtown Recreation Area in the Sabine National Forest.

Participants will meet at the SFA Pineywoods Native Plant Center, 2900 Raguet St., at 9 a.m. and ride in SFA vans or caravan in their own vehicles to the Recreation Area located in Shelby County. Travel time is approximately one hour. The group will return to Nacogdoches at approximately 4 p.m.

SFA A Capella Choir

The SFA A Cappella Choir will be performing at the spring convention for the Southwestern Division of the American Choral Directors Association in Dallas on Thursday, March 1. The 52-member ensemble is one of only seven university choirs invited to perform for the choral directors representing public and private schools in Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
