Parking on campus
We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early to allow time for parking and checking in. Enjoy free covered parking in the Student Center Parking Garage! Normal pay-per-use fees for this parking garage are waived on Orientation days.
Event check-in
The Baker Pattillo Student Center is located just north of the parking garage. Follow the signs to check in and begin your Lumberjack Orientation.
Arriving late?
Check-in ends at 9:30 a.m.
If you know ahead of time that you will be late, contact our office at 936.468.6641 as soon as possible so we can assist you.
When you arrive, visit the main check-in table in the Baker Pattillo Student Center to check in and be directed to the correct session in progress.
Note: Some sessions, such as advising or course registration, follow a specific schedule, and arriving late may impact your ability to participate fully.
Arriving early?
Orientation check-in begins at 8 a.m. We do not offer early check-in.
While you wait for the first Orientation session to start, you may be interested in attending an early-bird session. Sessions include a workshop for first-generation students; tours of residence halls, campus or Nacogdoches; information about the School of Honors; and more.
View the event schedule for session topics and locations.
Guest check-in
Guests must be pre-registered. They follow the same check-in process as incoming Lumberjacks.
Virtual Orientation
Virtual Orientation is available only for incoming out-of-state residents or distance education (online-only) students through a waiver request.
