Human Resources has made a commitment to the personal and professional growth and learning opportunities of the employees at the university. Our goal is to assist the university community in adapting to change, increasing productivity, and improving the quality of their work environment and their relations with each other. All university trainings, both compliance-related and professional development, can be found by accessing the myTraining site.

Coursera

SFA is excited to announce our partnership with Coursera, a global online learning platform, to provide access to Career Academy, a suite of 40+ certifications (made up of more than 300 short courses), taught by leading companies like Google, IBM, and Meta.

All SFA employees can use this platform to learn job-relevant skills and expand their knowledge with Career Academy—at no cost.

Getting started is easy. Just follow the Coursera Career Academy link on the mySFA Employee tab and sign up for an account using your SFA email address. (Already have a Coursera account? Create another with your SFA email address to access Career Academy for free.) Need assistance? Step-by-step instructions are available in this article.

Search Committee Training

Search Committee Training Sign Up Guide (using myTraining)
The purpose of the search committee training is to provide search committee members with necessary information, materials and resources that will lead to a successful search.

Student Employee Training

Student EEO Training
EEO Training is a mandatory training for all employees on campus, including student assistants. This training must be completed on or before your first day of work. Employees must renew their training every two years.

Ethics Training
Ethics Training is a mandatory training for all employees on campus, including student assistants. This training must be completed on or before your first day of work. Employees must renew their training every year.

ASAP Training - Center for Career and Professional Development 
Advancing Students As Professionals Training is an interactive and engaging look into the world of work! While ASAP Training is mandatory for all new on-campus student employees, it is also highly recommended for returning employees or those employed by other entities.

Receipts and Deposits Training
Receipts and Deposits training is a mandatory training for employees (including students) who accept, record and/or deposit university receipts. If your job involves handling cash and/or other forms of payment, you must complete this training.

FERPA Training
FERPA Training is a mandatory training for employees who have access to student records. Student assistants who will have access to student records should contact the Office of the Registrar to schedule FERPA Training.

Property Management Training 
Property Management Training is required for all employees.
