A message from the department chair, Dr. Ray Darville

At the Department of Government and Sociology, our students engage in exceptional programs including criminal justice, political science, pre-law, national security and intelligence, public administration and sociology. We focus both on academic excellence and career preparation. Our students learn from knowledgeable faculty members and have the opportunity to apply what they have learned through their years at SFA in the real world. Students graduate with the knowledge and ability to enter a rich variety of careers.
