NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Nominations are being accepted for Stephen F. Austin State University's Stone Fort Museum's Cum Concilio Club Heritage Preservation Award, which honors those dedicated to preserving Nacogdoches and its history.

SFA's College of Education hosts second Partners in Educator Preparation Appreciation Banquet
NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin State University's educator preparation program in the James I. Perkins College of Education hosted its second Partners in Educator Preparation Appreciation Banquet May 4 on the university campus.
During their final semester before graduation, SFA students majoring in education begin their student teaching in school districts across Texas. SFA sends approximately 350 students each academic year into approximately 500 classrooms across Texas to complete their student teaching.

SFA's Music Prep Division offers summer camps, FlexLessons
NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Registration is underway for a variety of music camps and private summer FlexLessons offered by the Music Preparatory Division of the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Music. Founded in 1980 by Shirley Watterston and Dr. Robert Blocker, SFA's Music Prep "continues to bring music to the community," according to Pat Barnett, division director.
Guitar Camp, directed by Chance Moore, is from 2 to 3 p.m. June 5 through 9 at the Music Prep House, 3028 Raguet St. The camp is for ages 11 and older. Tuition is $50 or $75 with guitar rental.
