Stephen F. Austin State University senior Melissa Lenert of Spring recently presented research during the Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol in Austin. Lenert used the quantitative electroencephalography method to track changes in brain activity during caffeine withdrawal and shortly after drinking coffee to study people who consume caffeine daily.

SFA interior design program to host senior showcase through April 21


Senior interior design students at Stephen F. Austin State University will showcase their talents during the "Essence of Design" exhibit on display now through April 21 on the second floor of the Steen Library on campus. Each student designed and fabricated a display to showcase his or her personality, design skills and portfolio.

SFA Opera Theater presents 'The Merry Wives of Windsor'


Otto Nicolai's "The Merry Wives of Windsor" continues its run at 7:30 nightly through Saturday, April 1, in W.M. Turner Auditorium on the Stephen F. Austin State University campus. SFA's Percussion Ensemble to present program of varied works


NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Percussion Ensemble at Stephen F. Austin State University will perform a concert of diverse and intriguing works at 6 p.m. Monday, April 10, in Cole Concert Hall on the SFA campus.

The program will feature new and standard compositions for small chamber groups and large ensemble by Daniel Levitan, Rudiger Pawassar, Steven Snowden, Nigel Westlake and Edgard Varèse, according to Dr. Brad Meyer, director of percussion studies in the SFA School of Music.

'The Merry Wives of Windsor' opera opens Thursday at SFA


Stephen F. Austin State University School of Music's 2017 Opera Theater, Otto Nicolai's "The Merry Wives of Windsor," opens for a three-night run at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 30, in W.M. Turner Auditorium on the SFA campus.
