Texas Undergraduate Mathematics Conference

SFA hosted the eighth annual Texas Undergraduate Mathematics Conference in late October. More than 100 students and approximately 40 faculty members from across the state participated in the two-day event. Students attended talks, presented their own research discoveries and competed in mathematical competitions.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Nacogdoches Naturally will sponsor a Family Outdoor Adventure at Stephen F. Austin State University's Pineywoods Native Plant Center, 2900 Raguet St., from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 3.

"Meet the Creepy Crawlers" is a fun event that provides an opportunity to learn about forest animals that slither, creep and crawl. There will be live animals, "creepy crawler" crafts and a guided safari hike.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin State University Pineywoods Native Plant Center will host a two-part garden seminar, "How to Identify and Attract Backyard Birds," from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday Nov. 16 and from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday Nov. 17.

SFA to host Showcase Saturday for prospective students


NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Future college students will have the opportunity to experience a taste of campus life during a free, action-packed open-house event at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches on Saturday, Nov. 10.

Prospective students will get to visit with university faculty and staff, tour the campus and residence halls, and preview academic programs during the first of three SFA Showcase Saturday events set for this academic year.
