NACOGDOCHES, Texas-The Stone Fort Museum at Stephen F. Austin State University has received an American Heritage Preservation Grant to help restore two deteriorating wedding dresses worn by historic Nacogdoches figures.

Dr. Mel E. Finkenberg, professor and chair of the Department of Kinesiology and Health Science at Stephen F. Austin State University, has been named interim dean of the James I. Perkins College of Education effective July 1.

SFA band camps still accepting local students


NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - Local middle and high school band students still have time to register for Stephen F. Austin State University School of Music's summer band camps held on the SFA campus.

Students entering seventh and eighth grades are eligible for the middle school camp to be held Sunday, June 7, through Friday, June 12, and students entering ninth through twelfth grades can register for the high school camp to be held Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19.

Nacogdoches Art League exhibition to open
