Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled LSAT appointment. Bring your admission ticket and proper identification.

LSAT-exam permissions

You may bring into the test room a sealed-shut clear plastic Ziploc bag, maximum size one gallon (3.79 liters), which must be stored under your chair and may be accessed only during the break. Items are limited to the below list and must fit completely inside the ziploc bag.

  • LSAT admission ticket stub
  • acceptable ID
  • wallet
  • keys
  • analog wristwatch
  • medical or feminine hygiene products
  • #2 or HBs
  • erasers
  • pencil sharpener
  • tissues

Testing Services' Guide

What to bring or leave at home

Regardless of the test for which you're registering, Testing Services enforces the following policies and restrictions. Lockers are provided for storage of restricted items.

Clothing

Bring
  • Dress comfortably in layers and be prepared to adapt to variations in room temperature.
    • Sweaters or light-weight outwear are good.
Do not bring
  • Hats, headgear and outwear with hoods
  • Jackets/coats are not permitted by many testing sponsors. Refer to your test's specific restrictions.

Identification

Bring
  • Current, valid photo identification
    • Confirm the identification requirements of the testing sponsor before registering for your test.

Electronic devices

Do not bring
  • Cell phones/smartphones
  • PDAs, tablet PCs, iPods, iPads, etc.
  • Cameras
  • Any other photographic, communication, computer and electronic devices

Food and drink

Do not bring
  • Food
  • Drinks (no, not even water)
  • Gum
  • Candy
  • Tobacco products

Testing/study materials

Do not bring
  • Mechanical pencils
  • Study materials (unless permitted by the test sponsor)
