PRAXIS Test

SFA delivers the computerized PRAXIS Tests; register for the PRAXIS Computer-delivered Tests online at www.ets.org/praxis/site.html using a credit or debit card. You can also register by calling Prometric Candidate Services at (443) 751-4859.

Test takers who need to take paper based tests must read the Praxis Series™ Information Bulletin to locate a paper based test center.

You must have acceptable and valid ID with name, signature and photograph to be admitted to a test center. ID requirements are strictly enforced. It is your responsibility to read and understand the ID requirements. When scheduling your test, you must use exactly the same name as shown on the primary identification document that you will present at the test center. Be sure to provide your entire first name (given name) and your entire last name (family name). If your ID document contains two last names, enter the names exactly as they appear on your ID. If you register by telephone, please make sure you are registered under your complete name as it appears on your ID. If your primary ID is missing either a photo or a signature, you must present a supplemental ID in addition to your primary ID.  If you are testing outside your country of citizenship, you must present a valid passport with your name, photograph and signature as your primary identification.  Please see the Praxis website for a complete list of acceptable primary and supplemental identification documents. Contact ETS at (800) 772-9476 for general questions about acceptable identification.

Acceptable Primary ID Cocuments

  • Passport with name photograph and signature
  • Valid driver’s license with name, photograph and signature
  • State or Province ID issued by the motor vehicle agency with name, photograph and signature
  • National ID with name, photograph and signature
  • Military ID with name, photograph and signature

Unacceptable ID Documents

  • Any expired ID
  • Draft classification card
  • Credit/debit card of any kind
  • Social Security card
  • Learner’s permit or any temporary ID
  • Any photocopied document
  • International driver’s license
  • International student ID
  • Notary prepared letter or document
  • Employee ID card
  • Birth certificate

Accommodations for Nonstandard Test Takers

Nonstandard accommodations are available for test takers that meet ETS criteria. Test takers requesting accommodations for a disability must register by mail.

Possession or use of telephones, cell phones, BlackBerry devices, PDA’s or other electronic or photographic devices is prohibited in the test center. You must not access these items during the test or break. Make sure you read The Praxis Series™ Information Bulletin prior to your test.

Food, drinks, gum and candy are not permitted in the testing room!

Dress so that you can adapt to any room temperature.
