All-State Day is an exciting opportunity for band students to grow as musicians while experiencing life as a college music major at SFA. The day will feature focused masterclasses on All-State repertoire for both Texas Music Educators Association and Association of Texas Small School Bands instruments, led by SFA faculty who specialize in your specific instrument area.
Participants will connect with fellow band students, receive personalized instruction and gain valuable insight into the All-State audition process. You’ll also get a firsthand look at a typical day in the School of Music, including opportunities to hear university ensembles, tour campus and meet with representatives from the Office of Admissions.
Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m., and the final event concludes at 5 p.m.
All-State Day is free to attend, and lunch will be provided.
A complete schedule, including lunch options, will be provided to students closer to the event.
