Join flutist Eugenia Zukerman and Friends for a night of enchanting chamber music at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, in W.M. Turner Auditorium on the SFA campus in the opening performance of the College of Fine Arts' 2014-2015 University Series, "Connect."

Exhibitions to showcase talents of SFA art professors

SFA Center for Regional Heritage Research receives grant for 3-D preservation of Caddo artifacts

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Center for Regional Heritage Research at Stephen F. Austin State University has been awarded a $39,600 grant from the National Center for Preservation Technology and Training to digitally preserve and study hundreds of Caddo ceramics obtained from archaeological sites throughout East Texas.

Huckaby art exhibition to close with reception


NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The exhibition "Sedrick Huckaby: Quiet Dialogues" will close with a reception with the artist in attendance from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House in downtown Nacogdoches.

The exhibition, which features expressive oil paintings with heavy applications of impasto depicting members of Huckaby's African-American family, has been on display since July 25. The exhibition also features a selection of prints and drawings from his recently completed "99 Percent" suite.
