The First-Year Advising Center supports all first-time undergraduate, or FTUG, students (regardless of whether you begin in the fall, spring or summer semester), as well as all undecided/exploratory students until an official major is declared.
- Find your advisor: Log in to mySFA to view your assigned academic advisor.
- Schedule an appointment: Book one-on-one advising sessions directly through Navigate (accessible in mySFA). Prepare for your meeting by reviewing your current degree plan and drafting a list of questions.
- Clearing your advising hold: All first-year students have an initial advising hold placed on their accounts each semester to ensure degree alignment. Your hold is lifted automatically once you complete your advising appointment and accept your advising form.
