Staying on top of your academic standing, degree requirements, and semester schedule ensures you make steady progress toward graduation. Use the tools and guides below to track your performance, plan upcoming terms, and manage your course registration.

Tracking Your Degree and Performance

• Degree audit (Degree Works): Log in through mySFA to run a dynamic Degree Works audit. This tool tracks completed core curriculum, major requirements, and remaining coursework needed for your degree.
• Academic standing: Monitor your status each term using the academic standing guide to stay informed on institutional benchmarks, good standing requirements, and dean’s list honors.
• GPA calculation: Project your term grades and track cumulative progress with the GPA calculator and formulas.
• Unofficial transcripts: Access your unofficial transcript at any point through mySFA.

Course Registration and Scheduling

• Registration tutorials: Review step-by-step walkthroughs for searching the schedule of classes, adding CRNs, managing waitlists, and adjusting schedules before add/drop deadlines.
• Advising hold: Complete your advising session each semester and accept your advising form to remove registration holds before your registration window opens.

Transferring External Credits

• Taking courses elsewhere: Planning to take summer or mini-session courses at another institution? Always consult your FYAC advisor and check the Course Equivalency Guide to ensure transfer classes fulfill exact degree requirements.
• Submitting official transcripts: Once external grades post, request that the issuing institution send an official transcript directly to the Office of the Registrar to apply credits to your permanent record.
