How to Schedule Your Advising Appointment

Welcome to SFA!

The First-Year Advising Center, or FYAC, partners with every incoming first-time undergraduate student starting in fall, spring, or summer semester to build your first college schedule and ensure a seamless transition to university life.

All incoming first-year students complete mandatory academic advising prior to attending New Student Orientation.

To ensure your records and degree tracks are properly prepared, advising appointment scheduling follows a specific process:

• Register for New Student Orientation: Sign up for your mandatory New Student Orientation session through your mySFA student portal.
• Watch your SFA student email: The FYAC will begin advising incoming students in March for the Summer and Fall semesters and in October for the Spring semester. We will send a personalized scheduling link directly to your SFA email account. (Please do not attempt to book an appointment until you receive this invitation link.)
• Select your date and time: Follow the link in the email to select an appointment slot that fits your schedule.
