Rauschenberg exhibition moved to Cole Art Center


NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - An exhibition of the work of artist Robert Rauschenberg, which had been on display earlier this year in the Griffith Gallery on the campus of Stephen F. Austin State University, has been moved to The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House where it can be viewed throughout the summer.

"Robert Rauschenberg: Four Decades of Work on Paper" is an exhibition of 18 of the artist's creations offering an insightful cross-section of Rauschenberg's long and varied career, according to John Handley, galleries director for the SFA School of Art.

Art Educators' Retreat at SFA slated for June 16 through 20


NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The deadline to register for the 2013 Art Educators' Retreat, a four-day workshop for art educators offered by the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Art, has already passed, and the sessions are full. But those still interested in participating can have their names placed on a waiting list, according to Marsha Blount, SFA assistant professor of art education and director of the retreat.
