Prior to the first exam: an alternative testing location with minimal distractions should be arranged and agreed upon by you and your instructor.

Reserving a proctored exam room

The Office of Disability Services offers exam rooms with proctoring services for situations when the academic department for your course does not have an accommodating space available.

If a proctored exam room is needed, confirm with your instructor that you'll schedule your exam location through the Office of Disability Services online AIM Student Portal.

Advance scheduling required

To secure a proper space, keep in mind the following when scheduling your proctored exam room:

  • General course exams: Minimum two business days notice before exam day.
  • Midterm and final exams: Minimum 14 business days notice before exam day.

Special instructions? Be sure to include in the request comments if you need a service provider or any special equipment for an exam.

Confirming your exam schedule

Exams are administered at the regularly scheduled time of your class.

You'll receive a confirmation email after you schedule your proctored exam.

  • Verify the exam is scheduled correctly.
  • Ensure you'll have sufficient time to complete your exam before 5 p.m.
  • Notify your instructor of the confirmation regarding the date and time of your proctored exam.

If there is a scheduling conflict, it is your responsibility to contact your instructor to agree on an alternate time. They must provide written approval by email to the Office of Disability Services with the agreed upon alternate time for exam to be rescheduled.

For any other changes in exam date or time, contact our office directly.
