Research and Fieldwork

Research potential

Lumberjack psychology majors gain knowledge and hone skills both inside and outside the classroom. It’s important to our world-class faculty that students develop a passion for psychology by experiencing it in action, rather than just listening to lectures and participating in seminars. As a psychology student at SFA, you’ll get to know your professors as you learn and work with them in their well-equipped research laboratories.

We’re proud to offer psychology students opportunities to conduct their own research as well as play an important role in assisting our faculty members’ fascinating research. All psychology undergraduates develop a research proposal. Most students go on to present their research at conferences, and some publish their research.
