Customized study for the chemist

This is an interdisciplinary graduate degree program. It allows you to tailor your studies by choosing from specific courses in chemistry and/or biochemistry to advance your scientific training.

Tailor your path

You can customize your experience to fit your career goals. Do you want to pursue research and enter the workforce soon? Prepare for doctoral studies? Or, become eligible to seek TEA teacher certification through the JacksTeach program? You’ll work closely with expert faculty members to design a plan that reflects your ambitions.

You have the choice between a thesis or non-thesis path. If your plans include a doctoral degree, choose the thesis track. If you plan to become certified to teach or join the industry with your master's degree, choose the non-thesis option.

The Natural and Applied Sciences, MS allows you to focus your studies within chemistry or biochemistry. You’ll complete graduate coursework both inside and outside your chosen concentration, ensuring a well-rounded foundation for your future career.
