Fall 2021

Battle of the Piney Woods Cycling Challenge

Sept. 1 through 30

As we look forward to The Battle of the Piney Woods, take a spin into this challenge against Sam Houston State University to determine which school has the best cycling skills.

How it works

  1. Attend any cycling Group Axe class at the Student Recreation Center throughout the month of September.
  2. Record your mileage with your cycling instructor.

The university with the highest average miles wins the competition! The winning university will be recognized on game day during the Battle of the Piney Woods.

Prize eligibility

Participants who attend the most classes or track the most mileage at SFA will be entered into a drawing to win SFA swag. Participants that participate in at least two cycling classes per week will earn a prize.

Getting Started

Challenge submissions

All challenge cards must be returned to the fitness desk by the designated deadline. Late entries will not be accepted. Eligible participants will entered to receive a prize!
